The Correo Uruguayo has issued a set of stamps illustrating the specimen of Uruguay’s wildlife represented by the Red-crested Cardinal, the Vermilion Flycatcher, the Rufous-chested Plover, the broad-snouted caiman, the La Plata dolphin or Franciscan, the Carpenter bee, The Rococo Toad.

The stamps were illustrated by Professor Elbio Arismendi.
