New Lithuanian Stamp to Commemorate the Anniversary of Klaipeda

The City of Klaipeda celebrating this year its 760th anniversary will be featured on a new stamp. On Saturday, July 14, a new stamp under the title ‘Klaipedai – 760 metu’ (760th Anniversary of Klaipeda) will appear in circulation.
The stamp intended to commemorate the anniversary of the port will be issued in the edition of 100,000 copies with a nominal value of LTL 2 (EUR 0,58). The stamp features the lighthouse and the general view of the harbour. The new stamp has been designed by the artist Valdone Bruciene.
Along with the stamp, the first day cover and sheet will be issued.
