This new joint stamp issue released by Russia and Italy is dedicated to the Year of Russian culture and Russian language in Italy and the Italian culture and Italian language in Russia.
Under this cultural crossing over 500 events were held covering all aspects of cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries - from fine arts, theater and film to education, science and sport.
The stamp illustrates the emblem of "cross-year."
