The Caribbean nation of Bequia has issued four sheets of postage stamps commemorating the distinct differences between bird species through the eggs they lay. Stamps on two of the sheets are perforated to take an egg-like shape, while the rest feature vintage illustrations of birds with their eggs.
The Birds of the World collection will be on sale at post offices throughout Bequia and through stamp dealers worldwide.
The stamps were designed and are being distributed by the Inter-Governmental Philatelic Corp. (IGPC). Founded in 1957, IGPC is the Philatelic Agency representing more than 70 International Government Postal Authorities, including Bequia.
