New 'Treasures of Malta' stamps

New 'Treasures of Malta' stamps

The Philatelic Bureau of MaltaPost p.l.c. continues its series of "Treasures of Malta" with the issue of a philatelic commemorative set of three stamps.

The stamps feature some of Malta's cultural and unique landscapes which are Valletta, Manoel Island and Cittadella.

The stamps are designed by local artist Edward Said.

The ˆ0.37 stamp depicting the Manoel Island will form part of the third in series of the joint stamp issue titled "Beautiful Corners of Europe 3" in the SEPAC Collection (Small European Postal Administrations Cooperation). The SEPAC collection will include a special folder containing the 12 SEPAC stamps issued this year from each member postal administration. The SEPAC issues are aimed to highlight member countries and promote philately. SEPAC members are the postal administrations of Aland Islands, Faroe Islands, Greenland, Guernsey, Iceland, Isle of Man, Jersey, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, and Gibraltar.
