On September 24, 2010 the Republic of Belarus issued a new stamp in the series entitled "Municipal arms of Belarus towns".
The stamp features the municipal arms of Lida. It represents the image of a baroque shield divided into two parts - red and blue. On the red ground there is a standing gold lion, on the blue one - 2 crossed gold keys.
The municipal arms of Lida dates from the end of XVI century and has historical and cultural value because it results of development of heraldic traditions of Western Europe. A lion is depicted on municipal arms of Poland, France and Germany. Two keys appear on the municipal arms of the towns of Belarus, Germany and others.
