In 2010, the year's charity stamp is being issued for the benefit of the Danish Child Cancer Foundation, which has been helping children with cancer in Denmark since 1995.

The DKK 0.50 surcharge per stamp sold goes without deductions towards the organisation's work to support research into methods of treatment, improve conditions for children with cancer and their families, and raise awareness of children's cancer.

The artist Flemming Quist Moller created the motif for the charity stamp, which is based on an idea by Rune T. Kidde. The motif shows a child confined to bed, but surrounded by teddies, which symbolise security, warmth and care.
