In June, 2009 Malta Post issued a set of five stamps dedicated to the XIIIth Games of the Small States of Europe.

This set feature five of the various disciplines in which the Maltese team excels in such Games. These are Sailing, Judo, Shooting, Swimming and Athletics.

All stamps include a colored strip which represents the continents colors as represented in the official Olympic logo. The Cyprus 2009 logo is also included in the design.

In January, 2009, the Isle of Man Post Office issued six stamps to mark Lewis Hamilton's F1 world championship win.

The stamp collection is entitled Lewis Hamilton – Formula One World Champion and includes a first day cover, presentation pack and special sheet folder.

The packs also have a review of Hamilton's outstanding achievement by legendary TV commentator Murray Walker OBE.

Let's Get Active! invites primary school children to have fun and get fit.

It comprises six stamps and a minisheet illustrated by Victorian-based James Hart. James' illustration style for the issue is influenced by Japanese manga comics and animation.
