The Hungarian capital, Budapest, is again hosting the World Science Forum. For this occasion researchers of international renown, heads of state, leaders of the world's scientific organisations and bodies funding research, as well as representatives of influential scientific institutes will gather at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the chamber of the upper house of parliament between 5 and 7 November 2009.

The meeting of scientists and politicians is jointly organised by the HAS, UNESCO and the International Council for Science. The motto of WSF 2009 is "Knowledge and Future".
