The winner of the Nobel Peace Prize 2008, Finland's former president Martti Ahtisaari, has agreed to design an Aland 2009 stamp.
The stamp is part of the 'My Aland' series, a series of Aland stamps giving well-known personalities with a connection to Aland the possibility to express their personal view of Aland. Some of the previous artists in this series have been Lill Lindfors, Mauno Koivisto and Marcus Gronholm.
