The U.S. Postal Service has issued a set of five commemorative stamps with artwork showing classic American cars of the 1950s.
The theme of fins and chrome is expressed on first-class stamps that depict a 1957 Chrysler 300C, a 1957 Lincoln Premiere, a 1957 Pontiac Safari, a 1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk and a 1959 Cadillac Eldorado.
A similar set was issued in 2005 with a theme of sporty cars of the 50s that included the Studebaker Starliner, Nash Healey, Ford Thunderbird, Kaiser Darrin and Chevrolet Corvette.
