Titled 'Investing for the Future', the 2008 Children's Health stamp collection recognises the work of New Zealand's Children's Health Camps (Te Puna Whaiora) in transforming children's lives.
While not every child can grow up to be an Olympic competitor, they all have the right to fulfil their true potential. Te Puna Whaiora helps them to do just that, by providing targeted, solution-focused residential and non-residential programmes and mentoring for children aged five to 12 years whose physical and mental wellbeing is at risk.
