Four stamps in the series 'Great Danes'

In Post Danmark's new stamp series, "Great Danes", four stamps are being issued with portraits of Poul Henningsen, Victor Borge, Arne Jacobsen and Piet Hein.

The designs are by Torben Skov, and the stamps are produced by the intaglio method.

Poul Henningsen (September 9, 1894 – January 31, 1967), Danish author, architect and critic, was one of the leading figures of the cultural life of Denmark between the World Wars.

Victor Borge (January 3, 1909 – December 23, 2000) was a Danish-American humorist, entertainer and pianist, affectionately known as the Clown Prince of Denmark and the Great Dane.

Arne Jacobsen (February 11, 1902 – March 24, 1971) was a Danish architect and designer, exemplar of the "Danish Modern" style.

Piet Hein (December 16, 1905 - April 17, 1996) was a Danish scientist, mathematician, inventor, author, and poet, often writing under the Old Norse pseudonym "Kumbel" meaning "tombstone".
