An Post unveiled a new postage stamp commemorating the influential 19th century rebel James Fintan Lalor.
The revolutionary, journalist and writer born 200 years ago was a key figure in Irish history and inspired the likes of Padraig Pearse and James Connolly.
The 55 cent portrait stamp based on his portrait in The Irish Fireside (1885) was released to coincide with the bicentenary of his birth in Tonakill, Co Laois.
