2007 has been declared International Polar Year (IPY). The Arctic Nations have joint to celebrate IPY with a joint stamp issue, which includes a series of really interesting stamp designs that show each country's scientific efforts in the Arctic regions. POST Greenland's 2 IPY stamps are engraved by Martin Morck from Norway, and one of the designs is the artwork of Naja Abelsen from Greenland. The stamps are printed in combination print offset and steel engraving and are available in whole sheets of 40 stamps as well as a souvenir sheet with both stamps. All 8 of the participating countries' souvenir sheets are also included in a special joint souvenir folder that will be issued on 22nd February.
