The Principality, a Concordat State where the Catholic religion is the State religion, has a strong relationship with the Vatican. H.S.H. Prince Albert II made an official visit to His Holiness the Pope Benoit XVI, before the end of 2005, to maintain and increase a particular and important relationship, asserted once again by the accreditation of a Nuncio in the Principality during 2006.
