National Portrait Gallery - 150 Years

Isle of Man Post Office is celebrating the 150th anniversary of the National Portrait Gallery in London with a set of eight stamps, in sheets of 25, each one depicting an image of a personality with Manx connections.

The set of stamps has been produced in conjunction with the National Portrait Gallery, London, which houses the world's largest collection of personalities and faces, from the Middle Ages to the present day. The gallery's oldest painted portrait, of Henry VII by an unknown artist, dates from 1505.
