The South African Post Office has issued a set of two stamps in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital on 18 June 2006. A special canceller and a commemorative envelope were also issued.
Designed by Tobie Beele, the stamps have a standard and an international letter rate value. The stamp with the standard postage value shows a nursing sister caring for a young patient while the stamp with an international letter rate value features the hospital building.
