Austria Post issue a new stamp on 23 September to celebrate the achievements of one of the country's leading sportsmen – 28 year-old skier Benjamin Raich.
Born in Tyrol on 28 February 1978, Raich made his debut at the 1998 Alpine World Skiing Championship having won Junior World Championships in both Slalom and Giant Slalom. He has since gone on to win a host of Olympic medals, World Championships and World Cups.
The 55c stamp has been designed by Renate Gruber and depicts a focussed Raich in action.
