Monaco: 'Salle Garnier' Mini-sheet
Charles GARNIER is a renowned architect who built the Paris Opera House; many financial difficulties interrupted the achievement and the Prince of Monaco brought his help. To thank Him, Charles GARNIER drew the Casino and decorated the Monte-Carlo's Opera. Its has been entirely restored by the "Societe des Bains de Mer", preserving the four frescoes of the ceiling, a detail of which illustrates the stamps.
