Grace, Patricia Kelly was born on November 12th 1929 in Philadelphia in a Family of Irish origins who succeeded in the building industry (bricks) as well as in the sport area (Olympic medal). After being actress in Hollywood where She received an Oscar, She married H.S.H. the Prince Rainier III on April 18th 1956 and became Princess of Monaco. She gave birth to 3 children (Caroline in the year 1957, Albert in the year 1958, the Hereditary Prince, and Stephanie in the year 1965) and dedicated herself to the social activities in the Principality. She died on September 14th 1982 following a car accident. This Homage block is designed and engraved by 4 artists, reknown engravers who have been working for the Monegasque philately, which is a “premiere”.
