Yu.A.Gagarin (1934-1968) was a pilot-astronaut, a colonel, the Hero of the Soviet Union and the first cosmonaut of the planet. He performed the first space flight by man on the 12th of April, 1961. The flight took 1 hour and 4 minutes. Then Yu.A.Gagarin successfully landed.
