UEFA Congress, Budapest

When planning the topics for Hungary Post's (Magyar Posta) commemorative stamp issues, a major consideration is to remember anniversaries and events linked to Hungarian culture in as broad a scope as possible, including international events held in Hungary.

With this in mind a special stamp is issued to mark the UEFA Congress in Budapest between 22-24 March 2006. The distinctive design symbolises the union of European football associations and shows the official emblem of the Hungarian Football Association.
