New Black History Heritage Stamp
Black History month begins on Sunday and the US Postal Service kicked off the celebration Friday with a new stamp.
The Black History Heritage Stamp collection recognizes the lives of people who have enriched African American history.

Europa 2009 - 'Astronomy'
On 10th February 2009, Jersey Post will issue a set of stamps to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Galileo Galilei's first telescopic observatory.
This set of stamps interprets PostEurop's theme for the Europa 2009 stamps issue - Astronomy - by featuring the satellites of Jupiter (which was just one of the galactic discoveries made by Galileo using a telescope) and various constellations which may be seen from Jersey at different times of the year.

Stamp commemorates Braille pioneer
An Post has issued a new 55-cent stamp to commemorate the bicentenary of the birth in 1809 of Louis Braille, the inventor of the reading and writing system used by the blind and visually impaired.
The stamp features an eye in black ink on a white background with the 55-cent denomination in Braille.
