500th Anniversary Of Andrea Palladio's Birth
The Republic of San Marino celebrates the fifth centenary of Andrea Palladio's birth (1508-2008) with the issue of a philatelic set made up by a 1,00 value.
In the stamp designed by Irio Ottavio Fantini, a portrait of the architect is depicted, alongside a drawing and external view of Villa Pojana, built by Palladio in 1546 for the Pojana family.

San Marino: 75th Edition Of The Road Cycling World Championships - Varese
Known throughout the world as the Garden City, Varese will host the most prestigious cycling event in 2008: the seventy-fifth anniversary of the Road Cycling World Championships.
On the 0,85 stamp, the artist depicted a chronometer and a cyclist at the peak of his effort during a time trial competition. On the 3,25 stamp, the artist represented the most important moment during a road trial: the cyclist, at the finishing line, raising his arms in triumph.
