The Hungarian Post Office Ltd. is commemorating the life and work of Ferenc Farkas (Nagykanizsa, 15th December 1905 – Budapest, 11th October 2000), composer by issuing stamps on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the artist's birth.

Jim Henson, Muppets, get stamps of approval

Famous Paintings of Austrian Collections 3rd value: Egon Schiele - Row of Houses
Egon Schiele was born in Tulln, Lower Austria on June 12, 1890, the son of a railway official. His teachers at the Klosterneuburg Realgymnasium soon noticed his extraordinary talent, and encouraged him to study at the Academy of Fine Arts. Faced with the rigidity of the teaching at the Academy, he left after only two years and founded the "New Art Group" with a number of friends.

Iceland: Salmon rivers and flies
Laxa in Adaldal and Laxa in Kjos are among the most renowned rivers in Iceland for salmon fishing. Laxa in Adaldal is also the second biggest freshwater river in the country. It originates at Myvatn and runs towards Skjalfandi. Approximately 1000 salmons were caught in this river in 2004.
