Russia: Treasures of Sarmat
About a thousand gold and silver items produced by craftsmen of Sarmatian epoch (IV B.C.) gave rich and diverse material on history, culture and art of the ancient nomads of the Southern Urals. The items were discovered by the expedition of the Institute of history, language and literature of the Ufa scientific center of the Russian Academy of Science in result of excavation of the Filippovka barrows in the Orenburg region during five seasons of the years 1986- 1990.

Dutch to issue Entrepreneur Stamp
TPG Post are to issue a new stamp on 22nd March to celebrate the Week of the Entrepreneur. The 39c stamp has been especially designed for small and medium sized businesses and will be available in sheets of 50.

Russia: Expo 2005
The EXPO 2005 World Exhibition will be held from March 25 till September 25, 2005 in Aichi prefecture, Japan. Japan has been more than once honored the right to hold major world expositions. Japan hosted the EXPO World Exhibitions tree times: in 1970, 1975, 1985. EXPO 2005 under the theme "Nature's Wisdom" is aimed at forming a new global method of attack that allows a multitude of cultures and civilizations to co-exist together.

Austria: Stamp overprinted with new design - Perforation

Stamp would mark bridge's 50th year
The first time the Mackinac Bridge was depicted on a postage stamp, it had just opened for business in 1957.
Postage then for a first-class letter was three cents.
Nearly 50 years later, a campaign is on again to convince the U.S. Postal Service to issue a commemorative stamp to honor the five-mile span that unites the Upper and Lower peninsulas of Michigan.

South Africa: Lunar Year of the Rooster

A new series of stamps featuring photographs taken with camera phones is to be launched in Switzerland.
The Swiss postal service say the collection, to be issued in September, will be the first of its kind in the world.

Advertising Columns - 150 Years
The citizen of Berlin owner of printering Ernst Litfass (1816-1874) was annoyed at arbitrarily posters sticking in the area so much that he prepared an end for the chaos: At roads and public places columns were set up, at which controlled by a special enterprise advertisement posters were hung up. On 1 July 1855 the first 100 columns and 50 well casings of the public were introduced. For the solemn ceremony in Berlin particularly a Polka had been composed.
